airline horror stories wanted
I’ve always traveled (domestically and internationally) with my camera gear in my carry on bag. I’ve never checked the camera. However, I’m tired of schlepping 30 lbs of gear on my back. I’m seriously thinking of getting a Pelican case large enough for my gear, a TSA lock, and checking it. But I’m afraid to let the camera out of my hands.
Consensus seems to be to carry the gear on the plane. But does anyone have any bad stories of checked gear in proper cases to justify the carry on?
