  Preview Unsupported For This Format

  Hi again.

  So, just curious.
  The workflow we are using currently is:
  – Shoot a P2 card
  – get it to mount on a laptop out in the field
  – Log & Transfer later at the office.

  I have used several Macs to L&T these cards on FCP 6.0.5 (on Mac Pros and MacBook Pros OS X 10.5.6) and while L&T goes fine.
  I occasionally don’t get to watch the clip before transferring.
  The preview window will (on many occasions) give me the error.
  PREVIEW UNSUPPORTED FOR THIS FORMAT
  even though the footage loads fine….

  I can’t figure our which scenario does this and doesn’t.
  Is it frame rate?
  File Size?
  The way we’re copying?

  did you ever figure this out. i’ve had a lot of success with log and transfer but suddenly am having the same issue. Even with clips i’ve had success loading up in the past.
