  p2 low rez proxies relinked to original MXF p2 files

  Does anyone know of a workflow that has down rezed P2 files for Avid offline editing and then using the original P2 files for realinking in online?

  Or: does anyone know of a program that can create a proxy of P2 files that can be used for offline and subsequent relinking in Avid?

  Avid does this itself. When you import the P2 files Avid just points to the existing files. Now, you can either Consolidate those files to you media drive, or you have the option to Recompress to the media drive. Recompress 15:1.

  Now I haven’t tested this, so you should. But in theory it should work.
