    Greetings:
I have an HPX500 and I was shooting an event last night in DV quality. After about an hour I get an error message saying “error 4 card full”. This was impossible since I was shooting on a 32gb card and that should give me about two hours in DV quality. When I got back I played the clips back through the P2 viewer and about half the clips were corrupted and wouldn’t even play. It showed the thumbnail, the starting tc and duration . So something is there but I can’t export it to my hard drive. Has anyone experienced this? More importantly, if anyone has an idea how I might rescue these clips I would be greatly appreciative..Thank you

Very interesting. I have never seen this. Are you sure you were shooting DV and not DV50? Did you have additional cards in the camera at the time? Did you happen to switch batteries while the camera was powered? How to the clips play back from the camera?

HD Log from Imagine Products might help you.

There were two other cards in the camera at the time but they were write protected so it wasn’t able to jump to the next card. Didn’t change the battery, the clip won’t play back from the camera and it doesn’t show that there are any errors on those clips that don’t play back. I was shooting in DV mode, no doubt about that..

    Hello,

If you can read the file from the card, and save it on a Hard Disk, then probably I can repair the video.
Please use the Treasured application to diagnose and preview the corrupt file.
