  HPX170 for screening a movie

  I have a finished movie that was shot on an HVX200 and edited in Final Cut Pro.

  I have a screening coming up, and right now it seems like playing it off of an SD DVD to a projector is my only option.

  However, I also just purchased an HPX170 and I was wondering if it would be a good idea, or even possible, to project the movie off of the camera. Could I load the final movie on to a P2 Card and play it off of the HPX170 to an HD projector?

  My only concern is that I don’t want to put any extra stress on the camera. I also don’t know how the camera performs as a playback machine. Have people found it to be reliable?

  How long is your movie? Can it fit on a p2 card?

  The movie is a half hour long. So, it should fit on to a 32 GIG Card.

  I doubt the camera would be stressed…it would work.

  It’d be unconventional, but it would work.

  I recently helped some guys with an independent film who simply showed it from a computer…which cloned the desktop to the projector…away you go.
