I did a search on this first and still seem to be having the problem after reading everything I could find. I shot a play that was about 2 hours long on HVX 200, using 2 8gig cards and just hot swapping to a AJ-PCS060G P2-store. When it came time to edit, I of course have many spanned files, which I don’t have problems with. But, there are several others that say incomplete, and they are just that. Everything will import fine but the files that say incomplete are just simply incomplete, thus leaving me missing the first act of the play. I’ve used this camera a lot and have shot long shoots before and not had a problem. I first tried importing on my laptop which runs FCP 5, and the hard drive i was using was a LACIE external, OS-X Journaled. I then tried it on my comp at work which is running FCP 6, and got the same results. Anyone have any ideas?

Also, the P2 store has been acting a little funny. When you plug it in it always gives you a message saying ‘the disk you inserted is not recognized by this computer’. I usually just hit ‘ignore’ and all my footage still pops up. It does this even after re-formatting. Is there a firmware update for it? Or something else worth trying?

    Thanks for your time,

    Cole

Hmm- sounds like the Store might be having some issues and need some repair to its hard drive. Personally I’m a bigger fan of simply ponying up for a couple of 32GB P2 cards and doing away with the Store entirely. IMHO the cards are just more reliable and you know exactly what you have on them right away by checking in the camera. Whereas with the Store you only know you have something until you connect to a computer and go to ingest.

I know man, I guess it’s about time to just upgrade to the big cards. This thing wasn’t that important, but next time it may be…
