P2 Playback on AG-HPG10
Hello,
Need some help here. We’re going live with a film festival at the end of the month and we’re trying to lock down equipment. Our sponsor recommended the Panasonic AG-HPG10 which has some great HD and SD playback to a projector. Very easy. Unfortunately, we’d have to contact all of the filmmakers and have them submit digital files in P2 (MXF?) format. Or, we would spend 4 days capturing 40 tapes. I’m not clear on converting, capturing or exporting to *.mxf. I’ve google searched and I’ve been unable to find any good answers on exporting or capturing back to P2 cards. Does anyone have any experience with the AG-HPG10 and if it plays formats other than MXF?

YOu can also use the device to route the DVCPRO HD signal from a computer. From the computer to the G10 via firewire then gear to projector.
