can’t initialize lense

The lens has to be CAC capable, perhaps that lens is not?

Hi,
I am not the product manager for the HPX3000, so am not really sure about whether this lens is in the list. If it is, the following trick might do the job.:

– The CAC function will not be activated
after power ON until the position of
Zoom and Focus move from one end
to the other. Once Zoom and Focus move from
end to end, the lens can recognize
its own position and start
CAC communication with the camera.

The lens should have CAC command capability to enable CAC function.
If the end of 8 digits serial # is “Q” and after (Q,R,S.T …), it is CAC lens.
