  Step by Step P2 to FCP 5.1.1

  Is there a location and/or resource that I can find a step by step instruction guide on how to import footage from a P2 Card using the HVX2000 into FCP 5.1.1 via Firewire?

  via firewire? You can import the files in FCP 5.1. through USB. There are three options:
  over laptop and PCMI Slot
  over laptop through camera
  over a special panasonic card reader, inserting and copying the cards
