    Hello –

I have the possibility of shooting in the AVC-Intra 100 codec this weekend, but I can’t edit the footage on my personal computer because I still have FCP 5.1.4 and a Powerbook G4. Is it worth it to shoot it and then down-rez to a workable codec and later do an ‘online’ back at the higher quality?

Unfortunately I can’t edit at the facility where I would do the ‘ingest’.

Maybe I should just stay in the DVCPro HD codec?…..

    Cheers,

    Derek R

Personally I would just use DVCPROHD than go through all of that. Depending on the final use you probably would never know the difference. Especially if it’s broadcast.
