  microphone holder – where to buy?

  Does anyone know where I can buy the standard microphone holder that mounts beside the internal mic for the HVX200? This comes often now comes with the camera, however our camera doesn’t have one and I can’t find it sold separately anywhere.

  You have to be able to order it through your Panasonic dealer. For one thing the very soft rubber isolastic supports inside will not last forever so they must supply replacements. Just call a dealer and have them order one in.

  I have the same need. Here’s the rub. My local store in Los Angeles wrote back, “The round part is $62.86 and the other is $21.79, in stock, and they come with the screws.”

  So that’s $84.65 plus time, tax and gas. I realize I have a $5,000.00 camera but “DAMN!” That’s the price of half a boom pole. I think I’ll just use gaffer’s tape! You know what I mean? many of those hot plate mic mounts are only half that price….
