    Aloha,

I just received my Barry Green book and couldn’t put it down. My wife did a double take when she saw me reading a book. What can I say, I am into computers and videos, not an avid reader of hard copy literature.

Anyway, Barry, or anyone of knowledge, I liked the scene file presets that Barry’s book presented on the CD. I took those and put them on a SD card and tried them out on my HVX-200. Wow, so many neat styles.

My question is, how do I reset to the Panasonic default scene files? I can’t seem to find anyway to take off the presets from Barry’s CD. I thought if I take out the card it would default, but they are still in there without the SD card. Not that I need to go back to default, but just wanted to compare the styles.

I shoot mainly Hospital training, corporate and occassional commercial stuff. So I would like to go back to default for some of the training videos. Not sure if the administrators would like a training video shot in War Epic colors. Maybe some of the administrators could wear a toga and carry a sword. 😉 Ha Ha!!

Thanks in advance for your superior knowledge.

    Aloha,

    Marcus

    Anyone have this same question?

Just go to each scene file and go to the bottom of the menu and choose INIT to initialize the scene file back to the factory defaults. You have to do this for each position on the scene file dial, and once you INIT that scene file, you then have to save it in order to get the factory defaults to “stick”.

Thanks Barry. So that changes them back to 0, is there a way to get those original scene files that came preset on the camera back? Are they available for download somewhere?

And does the SD card only hold 4 sets of scene files? I could not save a dozen other presets and load only the four I want each time?

Thanks again in advance for your time.

[808Marcus] “So that changes them back to 0, is there a way to get those original scene files that came preset on the camera back?”

It doesn’t set them back to 0, it restores the original scene files from the camera’s internal ROM. So using the INIT does what you want.

And does the SD card only hold 4 sets of scene files?

Yes, four sets of six scene files.

As Barry sez, only 4 sets of 6, but, with a laptop you can keep as many files as you want in a top-level folder on the card, and swap ’em around as needed.
