Activity Forums Panasonic Cameras Newbie Question about Variable Frame Rates

  • Newbie Question about Variable Frame Rates

I just got an HVX and shot some 60p stuff over 720p24N to see what the slow mo footage would look like.

Except after I Log and Transfer the footage off the P2 card in the HVX to FCP the Frame Rate Converter says only clips shot in 50p or 59.94p can be converted.

I feel like I’m missing a step somewhere in the workflow that can easily solve this problem but after digging around I haven’t been able to find an answer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you shot 60@24pN, you don’t have to apply the converter, your footage should already be slow as you shot it native overcranked.

Put the footage in the timeline and play it back.

I am new to this forum but not to the cow.

I don’t know if this will help but I found this .pdf online that might help you with your problem with strobing.

    Hope it helps
