  • Attaching an FS 100 to HVX 200?

Posted by Dan Mills on October 24, 2007 at 9:03 pm

I have a Firestore 100GB that comes with a sort of harness. I’m wondering if anyone has been able to attach this harness to the HVX200, and if so how. Any info on it? I plan to get a Jimmy Box – or something more permanent soon, but I have a shoot that I need to be mobile with the camera before I’ll have a chance to rig the Jimmy Box. I can’t seem to figure out how this harness is intended to be used.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks a bunch,
    Dan Mills

Harness? Are you talking the camera mount accessory?

When I purchased the FS-100 it just came with the belt clip. I purchased the camera mount and hated it, no way will it work with run and gun and it doesn’t even work well on a tripod. If I have the camera set up on a tripod I just put graffers tape on the leg and use the belt clip on the tapes, works great for me and I can keep the screen in sight.

I bought the mount from focus enhancements… love it… pretty secure

I have the bebop fsbox. Works pretty well but the clearances are pretty tight. I use it when I mount to a steadicam, otherwise shoulder mounting can pretty heavy. Handheld is murder. Prime lenses+M2+bebop shoulder mount will make you wish you were being torn apart by wild animals.
