  QuickTime export Error

  I was wondering if anyone else is having problems exporting quicktime files out of AE 6.5.1. After upgrading my QT to 7.0.2 I’m now getting an export failed (-2166). I’m able to export out of the QT movie player but not in AE anymore. Anyone else, if so what’s the work around.

  A follow up on the export problem. It’s a Quicktime export that fails everytime out of After Effects 6.5.1. I’ve found that when I export with an audio track selected is when I get the error. Video only export works great. AHHHGGG. I’m trying to figure out if it an after effects thingy or quicktime 7.0.2. Any suggestions?

  I found it! Don’t upgrade your QuickTime eo 7.0.2. (Duh!) There is a huge conflict using 7.0.2 in AE. Sound files in exporting and other functions fail with an erro message (-2166). I’ve downgraded to 7.0.1 and everthing is back to normal.
