  Cheap PCI Cardbus Adapter Ok With P2?

  Hello,

  I’m hiring an HVX200 for a weekend shoot and using x2 P2 cards. I want to transfer the data from these cards to my PC (I dont have a laptop).

  This card seems to be just what I need:

  Most PCMCIA card readers are not compatible with the P2 cards, as they are 32-bit cards. Unless it says compatible with P2 then it isn’t.

  The item I found does support 32-bit CardBus though.

  External PCMCIA to USB adapters won’t work, Shane’s right on that. But a PCI slot adapter should work, as long as you’re using Windows. Haven’t found an adapter that has drivers for MacOS yet.
