  noise difference b/n pdw350 and hpx500

  Just Purchased 500 and find it quite noisy in video especially in 1080 ?
  is this normal for hd or is it similar to other cams like sony pdw 350

  Post some stills- noise is an incredibly subjective term.

  I find it noisy too.

  but I make this comment publicly to share images and find the best possible solutions.

  I’d also like to know what is considered acceptable noise in a beautiful HD image.

  I’m just trying to know where my skills as a dp are running into the limitations of the tool.

  the noise and less than impressive sensitivity makes me feel a bit rocky to be totally honest.

  I’ll post images with others for helpful review.

  Really I’d just like to know what my competing cameras produce as well and how to make the 500 look as good as possible.
