As soon as turn on my FS-100 drive it freezes up and the only way to power it down is by removing the battery. Occasionally though, if I move quick enough, it will allow me to start recording but as soon as I stop recording it freezes again.

Has anyone experienced this? If so, is there a quick fix or do I have to send it back to the manufacturer?

    Thanks!

Is this happening only when you are recording, or when you power it up period?? The only time I have had experience with “freezing” was a bad firewire cable or connection.

Do you have the FS-100 set to external CTR Pause? This will sync your camera record button to the FS-100. If you still have problems, send it in!
