We are finished with the MXF files from a project that are on a firewire drive and they will not delete they say the are locked. How do you delete them?

They might be in use- make sure they are not connected to another computer over a network or in the middle of a stalled copy operation.

I’ve been having this problem constantly over the past couple years- and maybe someone already posted this, but twice never hurt anyone- and today i found my solution.
Hit “Apple i” when the clip is selected. when the info pops up, just uncheck the “locked” box and you can do whatever you want with it.
