I produced a video using a varicam (I rented) and obtained sensational sunrises and sunsets over lakes. Reflections on the water were beautiful. I’m on the verge of buying a P2 and I’m told it might not work in that light. Has anyone any experience filming misty morning around sunrise footage?

I don’t know where you got your information from. I have shot several sunrises and sunsets with the HVX 200 with no problems, just gorgeous footage.
    It’s not always the camera….

I have shot a number of sunrises and sunsets with the HVX 200. Pretty spectacular. One isssue is the lens is not long enough
to get a really big ball in the frame, also suggest you use ND filters, otherwise you might be shooting beyond Barry Green’s F8 recommended ceiling for the lens. You can also pump up the chroma and warm the color temp using the menu, might get loads more noise doing this.
