  MXF transfer error, help!

  I’m trying to back up my MXF folders, but for some reason one of my folders is failing to be read or written. I’ve been able to transfer Cards 2-9 but card 1 gives me this error:

  “The Finder cannot complete the operation because some data in “0018GE.MXF” could not be read or written. (error code -36)”

  I’ve gone into p2 log, and 0018GE.MXF plays with out any problems. Whar gives?

  Have you tried using the import P2 function in FCP (assuming you’re using Final Cut) and try getting the footage that way? No idea if that’ll work or not, just an idea. If you’re using a Firestore drive, have you tried organizing P2 before moving the footage?

  Try saving the file as a QuickTime directly from P2 log.
