  DVCPRO HD 720/24P AND FINAL CUT PRO 5.1

  I am trying to set up a project in final cut with my 720/24p DVCPRO HD that will not make me render everything brought into the timeline. Does anyone know how I can set up my project to avoid rendering. Please give me specifics for the set-up if you are willing. I have tried the easy set up and am hoping to create a custom setting that works. Thanks

  In the FINAL CUT PRO menu, choose EASY SETUP. In the drop down menu, choose DVCPRO HD 720p24. It will say that you don’t have the device connected (if you don’t), click OK.

  Create a new sequence. THIS sequence will have the settings you just chose. The previous sequence (Sequence 1) will have the old settings. Trash it.

  Edit.

  It was the new sequence issue. I really appreciate your quick response. I was terrified by the idea of attempting to edit while constantly rendering….
