We’ve just opened the box for the P2 card reader and hooked it up to our G5. Ran the installer package- (checked to see if there were driver or firmware updates) and the drive won’t show up on the desktop. Every time you put a P2 card in, it cycles through all 5 slots and then give you an errror message saying ” the device you removed was not properly put away”

The drive does not show up in disc utility but does in Apple System profiler.

Anything we’re missing? We got the same result on 2 different machines

    Mac G5, OS 10.4.7, QT 7.1.2, FCP 5.0.4

    TIA

you must have installed the P2 driver software to use the PCD10 unit on a Mac.

We figured out what the problem was. The card needs to have the write protection switch on to be seen. Couldn’t find that in the manual.
