Just an informational note for our south-pacific friends; Panasonic New Zealand and Panasonic Australia are hosting a series of training seminars for the HVX200 over the next couple of weeks, NZ is bringing me down for four seminars in three cities, and then I fly across the gulf to Australia and we do something similar there, hosted by Panasonic Australia.

The schedule for New Zealand is:
    Auckland, June 29th
    Auckland, June 30th
    Wellington, July 4th
    Wanaka, July 6th

For NZ, see https://panasonic.co.nz/productnews_2.html# for more information and registration.

    In Australia, the schedule is:
    Sydney, July 9th
    Brisbane, July 11th
    Melbourne, July 13th

For more info and registration for the Australian workshops, contact Rob Myers at rob.myers@au.NO-SPAM-PLEASEpanasonic.com. (obviously remove the “NO-SPAM-PLEASE”.

[Barry Green] “and then I fly across the gulf to Australia”

Just FYI, the gulf is actually the Tasman sea, a small body of water (almost 2000 miles across) that is part of a little bigger pond known as the Pacific Ocean. Your flight from NZ to OZ will be about 4 hours, enjoy 🙂

    Yeah, it’s about 3.5 hours.

I’ve heard Europeans sometimes refer to the Atlantic Ocean as “the pond”, as in “we’re just across the pond from you”… so in that respect I was referring to the Tasman sea as “the gulf”. 🙂

Hope you packed lots of warm clothes. I just got back from NZ and AUS and it was a little chilly, especially in Melbourne. Have fun 🙂

It’s been a little brisk on the north island, yes. They showed me a satellite photo of the south island, it appeared to be entirely blanketed in snow! North island is indeed gorgeous, and the black sand beaches have just the most amazingly soft sand…

Done with Auckland, headed to Wellington tomorrow. Wellington’s sold out, but there’s still room in Wanaka for those who may want to attend. Don’t know about the availability in Australia; people should contact Rob Myers at Panasonic Australia if they want to attend.
