I am wondering if there is any way Information can be stripped out of a compName?

Currently I have several comps I want to keep in order that read 001_PROFullScreen_Kirk, 002_PROFullscreen_Abe, etc.

When I render them, I don’t want the ###_ preceding the comp name.

Is this possible with something to the effect of —> [-###][compName].[fileExtension] (this is just an example, in theory this is what I want it to do.)

There may be a script to do something like this on aescripts.com – I don’t know of one, but it’s a good place to start.

Alternatively, just render them as-is, and use a program such as Automator (on a Mac) to batch-rename them (you can easily set it to do a find-replace – set it find 002_ and replace it with nothing).
