We’d be interested in shooting some tests to send to different labs. Especially tests which convert the material to a full HD 10bit 4:4:4 format, graded, put thru a film LUT, and how the material prints back with different negative stock. Since the camera is touted so highly for D-Cinema, I think this would be an excellent demonstration of the camera’s range. Jan, is there a Los Angeles rep or distributor who might be interested in providing the camera for these tests?

In the 1980’s THE ONLY place to go, because of their proprietary methodology was a place in LA called Image Transform, or Image Transformation.

Nobody came close to the quality of their work.

A friend of mine did a narrative video that was transferred to film (in 2000)and it was intercut with real film, the video transfer was transparent with the film. He was a student at AFI, you might want to contact them and see who they go to, it knocked me down.

there are a couple of people already working on this – There is a soon to be announced 1/2 day session at NAB 06 where we we show this process from end to end. LaserPacific is suppling the us the proper support ( and their Christie 2K projector for viewing) while the x200 will only be part of the session, it will be one of the focal points of the process.
