    Jan,

We just ordered 3 of the HVX200s. I was just told by the dealer that Panasonic is not accepting anymore orders for 8G P2 cards until the end of next month. Is there any truth to this?

    Thanks.

    Hi Steve,

That is true, the back order we have on them is huge and it seemed like the only way to keep people from being very angry with us about the lack of delivery. Keep in mind we have a lot of the AJ-SPX800s and the SPC700s out there that also use P2 cards, and many of the first year cameras were deployed with 2 GB cards, and they have come back with POs for the 8 GB cards and then the HVX200 has also done a job in pumping up the numbers.

So it feels extreme to not accept orders, but if you got to hear the agony of the customer that is expecting the card and calls to complain you too might make a similar decision. It seemed a little more honest. Problem should clear up by the end of February/mid-March.

    Best regards,

    Jan
