  • Change auto-save location?

I’ve fired up my new SSD to use for the cache, but I’d also like it to be used for my auto-saves. Waiting 12 seconds for that auto-save can be annoying. Does anyone know how to change it? My fear is that we can’t. Here’s the excerpt from the AE pref file:

    [“Auto Save”]
    “Auto Save Interval” = “10”
“Auto Save Max Project Vers” = “5”
    “Enable Auto Save2” = “1”

Other than storing your project on the SSD, don’t know of any other way.

LOL. Thanks for the answer John, but I had already gotten that far! 😉

    Hoping we’re both wrong…

No, there is no way to specify a custom location for your auto-saved projects. It’s a good feature request, though:

The After Effects CC (12.1) update adds the ability to specify a custom Auto-save location.
