Request for Jan Crittendon regarding the HVX-200 sound.

I just picked up a nice Sound Devices field mixer and Sennheiser mic…. In preparation for a shoot this I weekend I was testing my new gear out with my DVX-100. During monitoring I kept hearing a subltle HISS.
I couldn’t figure it out (I thought it was a problem with the DVX Audio)….so I posted a question in the audio section of the Cow and learned that the audio hiss I was hearing on my DVX-100 was actually coming from the headphone jack itself and that the hiss wasn’t actually being recorded.
I guess it’s not that big of a deal once you know. However, it would be nice if the auido jack on the HVX-200 is more of a “what you hear is what you get”.
