• Adobe After Effects

  AE Crashes shortly after program is started. Error 0 : 42

  Recently, CS6 has begun crashing within a minute of program startup. If I leave the program open but don’t use it, it won’t crash. It only crashes if I create a composition and try to do anything with it at all in the program. I have tried reinstalling Quicktime, reinstalling AE, running as admin, compatibility mode, uninstalling all plugins, clearing preferences, but I am still having the same problem. Help?

  This is the exact error message I receive: After Effects can’t continue: sorry, After Effects has crashed. For After Effects Help and Support, go to https://www.adobe.com/go/learn_ae_support. If you still can’t resolve the issue, please contact Adobe Tehnical Support (2).

  Wow, i can’t believe I didn’t think to update…that did the trick! turns out this update was patching support for my graphics card series. Thanks!
