H264 export problem
Posted by Sebastian Sander on January 17, 2013 at 9:58 amHey Guys.
I have a problem when exporting .mp4 (H264) files from AE CS6.
I’m getting an error message every time I render out in H264, both CBR and VBR.The error says: Rendering error while writing file “C:\…” (-1610153453).
Does anybody else know this problem?
/Sebastian

January 17, 2013 at 3:25 pmI recommend against using the H.264 exporter in After Effects. It has many bugs that the H.264 exporter in Adobe Media Encoder does not have. I recommend using Adobe Media Encoder to create H.264 output from After Effects.
Kevin Monahan has a brief writeup of using Adobe Media Encoder to render and export After Effects compositions here:

January 21, 2013 at 11:49 amYeah. I’m doing it that way right now. It just annoys me, that i can’t render h264 from AE. It’s no problem to render a .mov in h264, but the .mp4 always makes an error on the last frame-render.
And in cs5.5 there were no problem. -

November 26, 2014 at 10:59 amHey Marco.
Unfortunately i didn’t solve it. I just stopped using the h264 export from AE. It’s just not worth the hassle. Sometimes it works, other times it crashed. I’ve even gotten a bsod after the export, wich made the project file unreadable. So I just do my h264 render in media encoder. Actually the only thing I render from AE is animation .mov.If you figure it out, I would be glad to hear from you 🙂
Regards
Sebastian
