    Hi,

I have been reading common posts on here for a while but can’t seem to sort out my issue so please help:

    I’m using:

mac book pro 2.8 Ghz intel core 2 duo with 8gb of ram.
    AE 6 (11)

I have a 3d scene. Piano keys going up and down with the camera rotating dynamically around the scene.
    25 fps
11 secs long…..275 frames long and it’s rendering 1 frame per 2 minutes!

Each piano key has lighting options adjusted but other than that there are no elaborate effects added.

I’m rendering out as jpeg sequence. Full res/ best quality.

There are no extraneous files in the composition.

    Please help

Are you using the ray-traced 3D renderer?

Please provide answers to the questions listed here:

yes-I’m using the ray-traced 3D renderer. It was set to 3 quality and cubic. Trying now with none but expect it to be the same.

The footage has been created in AE. Simply extruded compound shapes. With a spot and ambient light and camera.

BTW Hope you’re having a good Xmas!

That is not an unusual rendering time for 3D using the ray-traced 3D renderer without GPU acceleration.
