  Camera Tracking: What happens when the point goes out of the frame??

  I am trying to use camera tracking and have an object I created with trapcode to move with the scene as the camera pans. I have a basic understanding of camera tracking. I know that I make the trapcode “follow” a point using the camera tracking data, but what happens when the camera pans and that point is not longer in the frame? Can I pick a new point for the effect to follow?

  Is camera tracking the best tool to use for this?

  It looks to me like the biggest issue with your footage are the cuts in it. You can’t solve a camera across an edit. You’ll have to solve each shot separately.
