    Hey Guys,

I recently purchased a computer running windows 8 with these specs:

    Intel® Core™ i7-3740QM Mobile Processor (4x 2.7GHz/6MB L3 Cache)
    32GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM
    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 675M 4GB GDDR5 Video w/ NVIDIA Optimus [CZ-17]
    240 GB Intel 330 SSD
    750 GB 7200rpm

And for some reason the composition in after effects (and in Adobe Premiere) doesn’t reveal any video or graphics what so ever. I’m not sure if this is a hardware related issue or a windows 8 issue- but I’m only getting a grey screen and zero graphics what so ever.

Does anybody have a solution to this problem or ever experienced something similar?

First, maybe try checking for (and installing) updates for the graphics drivers.

In Ae, you could also try unchecking Preferences > Display > Hardware accelerate composition, layer, and footage panels.
