I have these videos that were shot on a white background, however, the background has some wrinkles in it. I’ve done my best to remove some of the worst wrinkles with a layer mask but I just can’t remove those background wrinkles that are close to the talent. I’ve uploaded a screenshot to illustrate what I’m up against.

I know the correct way to have shot is would have been to shoot on a greenscreen then key in the white background. Unfortunately, that’s not really an option at this point. So please, no need to point out what I did wrong.

I’ve tried many different effects and techniques to remove it but none have worked that well. I’ve done motion tracking with a mask attached to a separate layer but that did not work. He moves his arms too much and the track point keeps moving from the spot I marked (I’ve tried a dozen or so different points to track from but they all keep doing that). I’ve tried the roto brush but that only works for about 45 frames. After which it looses the outline around my subject. And my layer mask is feathered as far as much as I can but unfortunately, he does sway a bit and doesn’t stand perfectly still.

I would much rather reshoot this on a green screen, but the client is not a big fan of reshooting right now. Oh and I should mention, there are eight of these videos ranging from 15-28 minutes in length. Frame by frame tracking would not be an option.
