  • Trouble with “card flip” animation inside a grid transition

Posted by Scott Fowler on March 31, 2017 at 4:23 am

I’ve created a 3240 x 1080 Motion transition that contains 9 columns and 3 rows. Using two replicators, I’ve now got 27 boxes that are 360 pixels x 360 pixels each for both the A image and the B image.

I need each block of the grid to flip randomly from the A image to the B image. Think a “card flip” transition.

I’m using a Behavior to rotate each block on the Y axis. That works well to flip the A image 90 degrees, but I can’t seem to match up the B replicator behavior to make it look like one card flipping. The flipping animation is out of sync and doesn’t really look like a card flip. Image B needs to rotate in sync with Image A to make it look like two sides of a single tile or card.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks!
