  Shadow has disappeared

  I’ve made this motion project for a movie I’m making, link attached. When I first started the project the 3D text and explosion at the beginning had a shadow from the directional light. I turned off the light to speed up working with the project and turned it back on to render the project but the shadows won’t come back at all, even after rendering at best quality with best image quality selected.

  I’ve tried adding other lights of different types but still no shadows, as far as I can see everything is turned on to display, create and receive shadows, but they are not there.

  Any help on this would be amazing.

  I just looked at your project and it looks like the group named Group 3 is rasterized and this is probably causing the shadows to disappear. If you make the group 2D (there’s no reason for it to be 3D as far as I can tell) the shadows will appear again.
