Motion 5 without FCP
Posted by Marcus Warren on May 3, 2014 at 9:25 pmI just want to be sure, you can use Motion independently of FCP, correct? In other words, can you create a project in Motion 5 and save it out for use in another program NLE besides FCP?

May 8, 2014 at 3:49 pmYou can do this. I have even created a more complex background with After Effects, rendered out a movie and then import into Motion for further work. In my honest opinion, to get the most of out of Motion one does need Final Cut Pro X as well. I guess the same could be argued about After Effects and Premiere Pro, my two cents whatever it is worth.
