Hi, when I paint a spiral, I want to expand it out in the z-axis, but no can do… is this true…
    I don’t find any z-parameter for the control-points…

I want some particle to orbit around some objects, creating a nice sparkle/flame around and object, but I need to paint/make it in 3 dimensions… How ?

    Any tutorial ?

Helge, paint strokes only work on 2D planes. You may be able to accomplish what you want by using an Emitter set to 3D, and animated with the Motion Path behavior, which you can use to move control points in x, y, and z.

For making a spiral check out a tutorial I made a few years back when I sounded like girl.

It’ll shows you how to make a spiral and make them go in a true orbit around something.

Try looking at an old Motion tutorial I did some time back. I look at a built-in template and do a post-mortem on it. From examining that template I learn how to do a spiraling paint stroke and pull it into z-space. The part you’re interested in starts about 2:15.
