  • Text from a list?

I have 1 effect I want repeated over and over, with new text every time. Currently I have to cut and paste, then edit text, and put it in.

Is there a way to take, say 300 words from a CSV or any other format text document, and for each word, bring it into Motion?

The end result I want is:
Fade in – show “WORD” – fade out….
    move to next word
    Fade in – show “WORD2” – fade out…

    and so on,
but with 300 words, that’s a Lot of copy paste/editing.

    any help appreciated

How are the words going to be laid out?

If your generator is 1200 seconds long, choose your file, make sure the Speed is set to Constant. It will show each of the 300 lines in the text file for 4 seconds

Then set the correct opacity values for the first word and then use the keyframe control (click to the right of the parameter name in the Keyframe editor) to set the keyframes to repeat:
