Just updated to 5.05, and it appears the keyboard shortcuts for kerning no longer act the same. Ctrl+arrows, now move the cursor to the end or beginning of the line. Before it would nudge the kerning of the letters next to the cursor.
Motions help file still says the the keyboard shortcut for kerning is Ctrl+arrows.

Are you guys experiencing this too after updating, or is it just something gone awry on my computer?
I use this all the time, so I really hope they haven’t removed that keyboard shurtcut.

    Noooooo!
Why would they do such a thing?!

Thanks for the quick reply, though.

    Ah, they did change it!
The kerning hotkeys were moved to command-option-[ and command-option-] since the OS now uses control-right/left arrow.

Awww man! A Danish keyboard doesn’t have [bracket]-keys.

So for the hordes of Danish Motion users out there who use kerning all the time, here is a work-around:
    – System Preferences -> Languages & Text -> Input Sources
    – Make sure U.S. Extended is checked
    – Click the Keyboard Shortcuts button and select Keyboard & Text Input
    – Assign a shortcut to “Select next source in input menu” (at the bottom of the list)

You can now toggle between DK and US keyboard layouts and use the bracket key shortcuts for kerning. The Bracket keys are “å” and “^” (between “p” and the return key)

Probably quite similar for the other Scandinavian countries.
