  Apple Motion – Spinning number plate effect…?

  Hi,

  I have a logo, made up of three sections that appear on the screen from different directions, coming together in the middle, with a glow effect that comes and goes. It’s motor-sport related and there is a soundbite of a race car passing by and at that point I want the logo to spin rather quickly, like all the times you’ve seen a number plate do it in the movies.

  I know there is a basic motion spin behaviour but I couldn’t get it to do what I wanted. Also, I applied it to the group containing the three sections of the logo and the axis on which it span seemed rather a long way away. Anyway, I’m sure the number plate reference will give you all the right idea of what I’m trying to achieve…

  Ah…..Think I’ve got it. A combination of pushing as many buttons as possible and then seeing a reply by Mark Spencer, suggesting that someone forget the behaviour and just keyframe the group parameter.
