I’m just sneaking into Motion to create one effect. I don’t really know the app that well.

How can I take some text and apply some instability to it – like it has a case of the jitters? It’s a pretty common effect applied too text but I just need some guidance to do a simple effect.

    thanks

Try the Wriggle parameter behavior, applied to the Position parameter of the text layer (just right click on the Position parameter in the Inspector and choose Wriggle from the list of parameter behaviors). You’ll then need to adjust it in the Behaviors Inspector.

If you want the individual letters to jitter independent from each other, you can take a look at the options under Behaviors>Text sequence>Text-continuous.
