  match motion corner pinning a mask

  I am trying to blur some bad reflection in a rectangular area on a moving shot in MOTION 5. According to the user guide, I’m supposed to choose behavior “analyse motion,” align the first tracker to the upper left of the rectangle, add 3 trackers, going in a clockwise motion around the rectangle, apply that motion tracking data to the mask. then I’m supposed to choose “4 corners” from the type of match move. the problem is that when I select the mask, in the blurred copy of the clip that I want to mask… and select “match move” the mask type is greyed out and I cannot select “4 corners” any ideas about why?

  Duplicate the clip so you have it in your timeline twice. Use the Bezier tool on the top clip and create for points that are on the four corners you want. Add the Track Points behavior to the mask. Click Analyze and the mask points will track what you want. Add the blur tool and you are good to go. Best of luck.
