  Do people still use ICE hardware accelerators these days to speed up After Effects?

  If not, is there a modern-day equivalent?

  Nope. Modern CPUs are faster, and the ICE products became obsolete years ago.
  Nope. Probably nobody wants to risk becoming obsolete quickly. 🙂
