  Force object rename in the timeline

  Hi All…

  when dragging and dropping objects to the timeline to swap footage or stills, I notice that sometimes the layer name will change to show the new layer name, and sometimes it won’t.

  Is there some way to control this behavior, it seems a bit random.

  If you’ve renamed the layer, your name will stick. Otherwise, it will be replaced. That’s how it should be working.

  I’ll see if I can duplicate that consistently.
