    Hi,

I’m currently working on a project involving a motion element that displays some statistics. As part of this animation I would like to represent time moving forward by have a date e.g. 1955 and have it count through v. quickly to the current year.

Does anyone know of a way of achieving this without needing to create a lot of text layers and ‘do it manually’?

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

    Rob

If you are using Motion 4 it’s a breezing using one of the Text generators.

If you are on Motion 4 check out the new generator called Numbers. It will do what you want. Best of luck.

If you are on Motion 3 check out Peter Wiggins plugin: https://idustrialrevolution.com/component/sobi2/?sobi2Task=sobi2Details&catid=2&sobi2Id=20

Thanks Mark and Stephen for your super-quick replies

I am using motion 4 and have now found the generator- going to be much quicker!! Especially as it turns out one of the dates goes from 1800 – 2010. Would have been a long evening, and particularly frustrating had I seen your responses tomorrow 😛

    Thanks

    Rob

p.s. Mark have just finished watching your Mastering Motion’s Camera Series and massively enjoyed them!- Have been flying through this project (Literally.) Seems I got stuck on the easy bit.
