  Cropped Image/Boris Continuum Complete

  Hello

  I am trying to use part of a cropped image in FCP 7 as a third superimposed clip. The cropped clip is a duplicate of the second superimposed clip as I only want part of the opacity to fade in and out as the second object is this clip needs to remain solid as I do not want it to disappear.

  I know using BBC/Boris FX it’s possible to remove objects from clips, however, these do not come standard with FCP 7, well the one I need anyway.

  So in essence I need the cropped area of the clip to be transparent! How do I do this??

  Hope this is not entirely confusing and I hope someone is able to help!

  Hi,

  I’ve tried this effect using a Matte and the outer are not in the matte is still black. What am I doing wrong?
