When using the paint brush, I can’t use “Light Streaks” 1, 2, 3 or 4 when “write on” is selected. It’s frustrating, because I’m doing the exact same things that are described in tutorials, but it just doesn’t work.
When I scrub through the timeline, I can see the binding box that contains the Light Streaks stroke, but no actual stroke.
When I uncheck the “write on” box, I can see the light streak, but it’s always .75 seconds long – and there’s no way to change the timing.
If I use any other brush besides “Light Streaks”, the write on functionality works just fine. As soon as I substitute a light streaks stroke, the stroke disappears.
    What’s up with that?

The light streaks animate on with keyframes, that’s why using the write-on behavior won’t work with them. And you can adjust the timing, here’s how:

    Mark,

Thank you so much – for your patience and willingness to help a noob. You just ended two days of frustration.
