Animating Waves
I was just wondering if it was possible to use the pen tool along with some parameter changes in order to make a decent looking wave. I’ve tried a couple different methods already involving some particle emitters, but it just doesn’t look good. What I’m trying to do is animate a pen stroke to have it go up and down in a very wave-like fashion, I just can’t seem to figure out how to do it, any tips would be helpful.

I’m not sure if this is what you are looking for. Go to the Library tab, Content, Gauges, Oscilloscope Screen.

I’m looking for something EXACTLY like that, but without all the extra stuff in the background. Is there any way to animate something to get that basic motion?

Apply the OScilloscope Screen and then delete or disable the Grid in the background. Hope this helps and best of luck.

You can turn off the background. Twirl open the group and uncheck the Grid.
